Sigma Kappa is difficult to effectively define or describe. No website full of beautiful photos, video of polished footage, or heartfelt letter can give a perfectly genuine description of the bond that is shared among our members. The women of Sigma Kappa are truly my sisters— people who walk with me where I am, who encourage me where I need growth, and who model who I hope to become.
Since accepting my bid in the fall of 2015, I have become a woman of greater confidence and greater character. I have become a leader in ways I never could have anticipated, and I have learned more about myself than I knew there was to know. Our college years bring unexpected hills and valleys, and having 150 sisters behind me has made all the difference.
As president, I take great pride in our accomplishments as an organization, whether it be raising money for a philanthropy we value or seeing one of our sisters honored for her academic achievements. However, just as precious as these memories are the moments we have spent dancing in the kitchen while cleaning on a Saturday night or packing into the TV room to bond over our shared passion for the Bachelor.
This unique group of women has helped me to become a better me, and I want to share the joy that Sigma Kappa has brought to me with whoever I can. I hope that this taste of our sisterhood and our organization can give you a glimpse of the love that we share. If you would like to hear more, please do not hesitate to contact me personally at email@example.com. I would love to share more of my thoughts or answer any of your questions.
